
American actor Thomas William Selleck. His first role was private detective Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) and he was nominated for five times for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in an Drama Series. He won in 1985. From 2010 to 2010, Selleck has been the New York City Police Chief Frank Reagan. In nine television movies based upon the Robert B. Parker novels in which he portrayed Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town police chief, beginning in 2005. Selleck also played the character of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor of architecture in Three Men and a Baby (1987) as well as Three Men and a Little Lady(1990).
