Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer, and singer. She's attractive and intelligent actress who inspires numerous Asian actors to achieve success in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances in some popular series she achieved fame after joining the team of the legal comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. The actress took her initial fame into major screen roles in movies including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Her next performance was a dazzling performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren In QT's Kill Bill Volume 1. Around this same time she appeared in box-office failures including Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she became voice actor in animated films, including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's part on Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't produce results. Southland was a critically acclaimed series of police dramas which included Liu in multiple parts, helped to establish her role as an actress. Liu takes great care in selecting her roles, so she isn't a victim of stereotypes. While she's been embracing her roots she has not let them restrict her artistic abilities.
