Alison Maria Krauss, born 23rd July 1971, is an American singer and musician. Her age was just teen when she began her journey into the world of music and was a winner of local contests at the age of 10 old, and recorded her first album at the age of fourteen years of age. She signed to Rounder Records in 1985 and released her first self-titled album on the label in the year 1987. Then, she was invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, which is the group she performs with. Her debut album as a collective with this band came out in the year 1989.
